| Island Symphony Opens Charleston Office
To better serve our U.S. and corporate clients, Island Symphony has opened a Stateside office in historic and charming, Charleston, South Carolina. Once frequented by the same pirates including Blackbeard and the Gentleman Stede Bonnet who cruised the Caribbean, Charleston has a rich maritime tradition and is the largest seaport in the Southeast.
Our address on historic Broad Street is the perfect location. In the shadow of the famous “Four Corners of Law”, we are within walking distance of the College of Charleston, the Battery, and the Charleston City Marina which accommodates yachts of up to 300 feet. The College of Charleston Sailing Team has won the prestigious Fowle Trophy awarded to the best overall sailing team in the nation an unprecedented three times.
Want to visit the city that the readers of Conde Nast Traveler named the 3rd best City in America in style? See this city and other historic Southern gems from the water on a private yacht charter. Call me at 800 556-0431 for more details. Featured Yacht – The M/V Harmony
Harmony has so many unique qualities that make her one of the most popular mega yachts in the fleet. Tastefully decorated she comfortably accommodates up to 10 guests in 4 private staterooms – two of which can be converted to four different berthing configurations. This flexibility helps accommodate all types of groups from corporate meetings at sea to family reunions. At 115 feet, this floating palace creates a presence in yachting hot spots from Monaco to St. Barth’s.
What strikes me best about Harmony is her crew. The captain always sets the tone for the yacht and American Captain Jack McKay is cordial, relaxed and fun. The international crew follows his lead. This yacht and crew are without presumption and always represent the yacht in the most original ways at charter yacht shows. No doubt by her client comments that the crew on Harmony will take your charter experienced to a new level.
Give us a call for more details on Harmony’s schedule and all inclusive rates. She tours the Cote D ‘Azur and Croatia this summer and can be found hitting all the Caribbean hot spots during the winter season.

It never fails every year we get a rush of inquiries for Christmas and New Years Charters. While we do our best to professionally accommodate everyone, our job is a lot easier if we can begin our search sooner than later. The Greeks!
I know that usually this section is dedicated to highlighting some of the animals you’ll find on your charter vacation but I wanted to point out that while there are many interesting Flora and Fauna on a Greek charter the real attraction when visiting the Aegean are the people you meet along the way. Because they are spread out over 227 inhabited islands the people of Greece are used to receiving visitors and are amongst the most warm and hospitable cultures in the world. For this reason most of our charters yachts offer half fare. Not that the chefs aboard are not talented but the Greek experience is dining and socializing. In fact the Greek “meze” is more than just a series of small dishes but more of an extravaganza of conversation and dancing surrounded by many appetizers which can be drawn out for hours to make a complete meal.
After producing 2 and ˝ thousand years of beautiful art, culture, philosophy, and civilization, the Greeks have even more to contribute to world history. Most recently clubbing. Dancing takes on new meaning on a Greek Charter with parties on many islands especially Mykonos going all night.
The Greeks invented shipping and still are behind some of the most incredible yachts in the world including Anneliesse, Alesia and the RM Elegant. So give us a call and plan your next holiday to be amongst the amazing people who invented the idea of chartering. Barometer: Highlights of an island bar
The Beach Bar - St. John, U.S.V.I.
The name came easy for this near perfect outdoor oasis in Cruz Bay’s Wharfside Village whose logo is a smiley face and cross bones. Easy is also a great way to describe the atmosphere. There are a few tables but most simply hang out at the bar or the hammocks on the accompanying beach. Come play Bocce or catch up on the local island gossip. Don’t like shopping? The Beach Bar is the perfect place to chill while the rest of your group checks out the unique shops of Cruz Bay all within walking distance.
At night the place heats up with some of the best local music in the Virgins. Every Sunday Afternoon it’s the Jazz Jam and they also sponsor some now infamous annual events like the Minimal Regatta and Bar Wars.
Your yacht can anchor outside honeymoon beach for a quick dinghy ride to the bar’s beachfront location. Enhance your charter with our Events Calendar!
A yacht charter is an amazing experience by itself that gets even better when there is a special event to tie it to. Feel free to call anytime to discuss what’s going on in and around the islands.
