All Inclusive Pricing
Many of the private luxury sailing yachts we represent, especially Caribbean charter yachts, offer all inclusive pricing.  Generally, all inclusive pricing includes all meals, ships bar, and all expenses needed to operate the yacht within a pre-determined geographic area like the U.S. and British Virgin Islands.  In many cases, you’ll find a sailing vacation to be competitively priced when compared to a land based all inclusive Caribbean vacation.

In some cases, especially for more exclusive Caribbean destinations, yachts may quote inclusive plus bar.  Inclusive plus bar is like all inclusive except the costs for provisioning the ship’s bar will be covered by the charterer.  You will be relieved to know that all expenses are passed on without markup.

Cost Plus Expenses
Most of the larger sailing yachts, power yachts, mega yachts, and super yachts, quote rates that are cost plus all expenses.  This rate structure was developed to allow for further customization and to account for vast differences in operating expenses from luxury yacht charter to luxury yacht charter.

Included in the base rate is exclusive use of the yacht and crew, crew meals, and owner’s insurance.  All other expenses including running fuel, provisioning for meals and ship’s bar, dock fees and cruising taxes are for the charterer’s account.

Advanced Provisioning Allowance or A.P.A. – will be collected with the final payment on the yacht and will usually run from 25-35% of the base charter rate.  This will depend on the itinerary selected as fuel is usually the largest expense.  Exact accounting will be kept for all expenses and any remaining balance will be refunded to the client at the end of the charter.  If the A.P.A. is exceeded the balance due must be paid at the end of the charter. 

Crew Gratuity
Regardless of the charter yacht’s chosen rate terms, a crew gratuity is not included.  While expected gratuity range may vary by destination, it is an industry accepted standard to tip 10-20% of the yachts base rate.  The true amount should be based on merit.  Due to the exceptional level of customer service which has become a consistent standard amongst our preferred yachts it should be easy to offer a suitable gratuity.
